静岡県袋井市は、東海道五十三次の“どまん中”（江戸から数えても京から数えても27番目）にあたる袋井宿のあった都市です。Fukuroi-juku was located in modern day Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It was the 27th station smack dab in the middle of the 53 Tokaido Route stations between Edo (Tokyo) and Kyoto.
