Don't donate to me.
My name is Kody Amour, and I host this channel. This channel is committed to only taking revenue from small dollar donations (not now though - maybe later when people actually have money to donate) and revenue generated from YouTube's ads. If you are wondering if I am willing to sell out to you so that you can force me to read your ad, then the answer is no.
There are three main frameworks that I use as a foundation to my worldview: utilitarianism, science and socialism. Utilitarians just want to prioritize maximizing total community happiness. Science is useful for interpreting truth. Socialism is an economic structure that allows for utilitarianism and science to thrive in the workplace by giving the workers their work.

Okay so you read this far, and you still want to learn more. Awesome! Below, I have a serious of important issues and where I currently stand on those issues (as of the date this video was published - people, including myself, change over time).
What is your view on marriage?
Marriage is slavery, and taxes should not be influenced by your legal marital status. I am ethically non-monogamous, and so is my partner.
What is your stance on gun control?
Get ready to unsubscribe, because I want the government to buy back all types of guns and then make it illegal to have a gun visible in public places. Why? Because to say otherwise is to disregard the implications of recent Harvard research on gun violence.
Why socialism and not social democracy?
Because social democracy is still capitalist, and capitalism is the closest thing you can get to slavery. The only way to move on is to recognize the immoral framing of businesses. On top of that, worker co-ops can't compete with private companies for the same reason that farmers without slaves can't compete with farmers with slaves. The only way we moved on from slavery was to make slavery illegal. The only way to move on from capitalism is to accept that capitalism is 100% the problem.
What is your view on police officers and prison?
As a utilitarian, I don't see a purpose to either, when there are more ways of helping everyone at the same time. Sure, evil things happen, but you can't solve those problems by adding suffering. Defund the police and redirect those resources to rehabilitation programs that benefit everyone.
What is your view on taxes?
Taxes are just the government's way of adding disincentives to the market. So should be disincentivized? We should definitely not tax income, since productivity should be incentivized. I think we need a wealth tax, and we need to reevaluate the wealth of each individual post-capitalism. Owning tons of stuff that you don't use should be disincentivized. If you own a mansion, and you actually use it and worked hard for it, then cool - have your mansion. If you own 10 mansions and only live in one, and you're too lazy to put the other 9 mansions on airbnb, and so they just stay empty, then you should be taxed for hoarding extremely valuable resources and not using them for their purpose.
What is your view on Climate Change?
I used to think that global warming was the number one threat to humanity. That is no longer true. It's probably number 2 or 3 now - but that's not to say that Climate Change is a serious issue that needs to be addressed NOW. That said, I also have a lot of hope in technological solutions to global warming, especially considering how close we are to constructing AGI (Elon Musk says 2025 - I agree). The biggest problem we face is preparing for a technological singularity. It's impossible to know the implications, but I would guess we'll see this by 2025 as well. See Dr. Nick Bostrom for more info. I also think that we are not prepared for solar flares. We have yet to experience a Coronal mass ejection during the technological revolution (we came close though). If we got hit by a CME today (which is VERY possible), society would crumble overnight. We need backup transformers for EVERY transformer that currently exists, or some other clever solution.
What's your view on UBI?
I think that socialism will not solve the problem of automation replacing all jobs, because, in the long run, all businesses will have one employee (you). There's no reason to have businesses with multiple people when you can just use AGI instead. The only solution to this problem that I know of is a UBI.
What is your view on education?
You should be paid to learn. A smarter you is a more productive you. Why should you be prevented from learning? Why should you have financial disincentives to learn? What a dumb idea. Shouldn't we want you to learn? Shouldn't have an incentive structure instead?
