I Almost Quit: How my mind used LOGIC to sabotage me.
Embarassment, cringing and in general discomfort are bound to happen when we try something new or embark on a journey to our goals. The more vulnerable we are, the more likely these feelings are going to come up. If you feel like you failed or things aren't turning out the way you imagine, it's easy to draw what we think is a "logical" conclusion and quit. But your logic is just responding to a specific question in your mind and you gotta be aware of what that question is. Most times the question is: "how do i escape those feelings?" and your brain will tell you exactly what you need to hear to do exactly that. And the next step is self-sabotage. The sooner you accept that those feelings WILL come up, the less strong these stories become in your head because you stop escaping and start allowing yourself to be free to make mistakes and feel uncomfortable.
