A visit to the South Downs Light Railway for its 'BANK HOLIDAY STEAM GALA' on Monday 28th August 2023.
A total of five Steam Locomotives could be seen working trains around the circuit throughout the day with two visitors joining three residents including the newest addition to the home fleet - "Lion"!
Locomotives featured (in order of appearance) are as follows...
SR N15-class 'King Arthur' 4-6-0 No.771 "Sir Sagramore" (visiting from the Ingfield Light Railway)
LNER A4-class 4-6-2 No.4498 "Sir Nigel Gresley" (visiting from the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway)
'Dove' 4-6-0 No.27 "The Railway Mission"
LMSR 'Coronation'-class 4-6-2 No.6220 "Coronation"
L&MR 0-4-2 "Lion"
