A little diy wrenching replacing the valve stem seals on the S63TU engine. These are a common culprit for oil consumption and smoke from the exhaust, most often noticed after prolonged idle as well as smoking after engine braking.
This can be done with a simple universal valve spring tool although a little modification is needed. You will also need the S63TU engine timing tool, as well as generic mechanic tools like angle gauges and torque wrenches.
Replacing these solved my issue of smoking after prolonged idle.
