The government has reiterated its commitment to restore a lasting peace in the North Rift region. Interior cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, while attributing the tranquillity being witnessed in the area to cooperation between the community and security agencies, restated that training colleges for both the National Police Service and the Kenya Defence Forces will be established within the area.
