We'll delve into Nikki Giovanni's memorable childhood events, the influences that led her to poetry, her first love, and the challenges of committing to love. She also explains her 'Thug Life' tattoo dedicated to the life of music artist Tupac Shakur.
Throughout her journey, Nikki Giovanni recalls the incredible personalities she encountered, sadly including her interactions and confrontations with the infamous Virginia Tech shooter, Seung-Hui Cho. She describes their tense stand-offs before his tragic rampage that claimed the lives of 32 people.
