After Spending 3 weeks floating 280 miles down the Grand Canyon Colorado River we just had to take a peak from the top. Having never been there and hearing that it was probably closed did not hamper us from at least trying. The entrance was barricaded with cones and barrels directing a u-turn. We saw saw an entrance for official vehicles only and decided after some deliberation to take the chance. So we did.....
I can't say we were totally relaxed, but the rewards were undeniable. The following day we made our way to Navajo Bridge and onto Vermilion National Monument where we would boondock for the next 3 nights.
