Filmed live at FolkEast on August 17th, 2025, this performance marks the debut of both this song in a full band format and the current line-up of Jon Wilks & The Grizzly Folk. It was also the very first FolkEast held at the Sotterley Estate.
A particularly special moment: this was the first time Jon Wilks and bassist Rich Davies had shared a stage since the late 1990s. The two met at school at the age of 14 and played in bands together until their early twenties before going separate ways. With Jon’s new album Needless Alley full of nostalgia and reflections on age and friendship, it felt right to bring Rich back into the fold.
A few vocal flubs, but not bad for just two rehearsals! It'll only get stronger from here.
