Giovacchino Forzano (1884-1970), Puccini's friend, librettist and playwright, shares some recollections of the composer, Puccini's passion for hunting, his recipies, the genesis of Gianni Schicchi, Suor Angelica and the Trittico. Forzano also exhibits some important manuscripts and correspondence from which he reads on camera.
Forzano pronounced his name with an accent on the second syllable and not on the first.
