The project “Migrants Rescue and Assistance in Agadez Region” (MIRAA) – Phase III is implemented in close collaboration with national authorities in Niger since 2018 and until the end of 2021. It aims to ensure protection and direct assistance for migrants in distress along the migratory road to and from Niger, including by carrying out search and rescue (SAR) missions. Additionally, the programme reinforces awareness raising activities on migration, monitors the evolution of migratory trends in Niger, and ensures the sustainable return and reintegration of migrants to their community of origin.
