Life, Unexpected: Caring For Children With Serious Illnesses - Part 1/4 | Full Episode

Star PALS is a service dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with serious illnesses or life-limiting conditions. We follow some of their dedicated physicians, nurses and medical social workers who provide unwavering compassion and hope through life’s most difficult moments, and explore why they continue to do what they do, and what keeps their spirits alive as they navigate the daily challenges of life and death?

We also meet some of the patients under Star PALS’ paediatric palliative care programme, like baby Nayla, who has the genetic disorder Trisomy 18, teenager Chloe, who is suffering from the rare disorder Pompe Disease and Edwin, who at 38, is one of the oldest Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy patients in Singapore.
