Cavtat is a Croatian town located in Konavle Municipality, Dubrovnik-Neretva County, 20 km south of Dubrovnik. Cavtat has held a prominent place in the history of the region. Founded by the Greeks, the colony of Epidauros was conquered by the Romans in 228 BC. J. - C. and was renamed Civitas Vetus which will give the name of Cavtat.

Cavtat est une localité de Croatie situé dans la municipalité de Konavle, dans le comitat de Dubrovnik-Neretva à 20 km au sud de Dubrovnik. Cavtat a occupé une place primordiale dans l'histoire de la région. Fondée par les Grecs, la colonie d'Epidauros fut conquise par les Romains en 228 av. J.-C. et fut renommée Civitas Vetus ce qui donnera le nom de Cavtat.
