The Prophet Micah brings us through God’s indictment of Israel and reaches something of a climax that is set apart from all the religious ideas of what is pleasing to God. Our verse is one of the most revealing in all of Scripture. We must recognize that God does not change, and so what He declares here to Israel is also what He declares to us as well. God deals with our hearts. He seeks to have His people like Him. The description He gives here in just a few words describes the character and interest of God and at the same time enlightens us on what God requires of His own.
