This time we're going back to basics with the R5C to look at video resolutions: how to change them, and what the impacts of the selected resolution is on your footage. Unlike the EOS R5, the EOS R5C down samples from the sensor's native resolution at the selected crop factor, for all output resolutions. This maximizes the image quality and reduces noise. However, it also means the camera has the same rolling shutter performance for a given crop mode regardless of output resolution.
