Creating Dark World Noelle from DELTARUNE in 3D - [Blender Rig Update Timelapse]

Another timelapse, woop! ❄️
Thought it'd be fun to record my process of updating Noelle's rig with her dark world outfit since a lot of people enjoyed my take on it, so here it is! Unlike Spamton's showcase this one isn't a full timelapse, but rather just shows how I updated Noelle's meshes, shaders and rig. This video isn't a tutorial. It demonstrates how I refitted my regular light world Noelle rig with her dark world outfit. It's a timelapse of how I upgraded her model, shaders and rig rather than a complete tutorial, with some earthboundy textbox commentary peppered in here and there as per tradition.

Y'all seem to love my 3D translations of these iconic characters, which makes me pretty happy and pushes me to do more! My Spamton timelapse received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback, which I honestly didn't expect since it was a different format from what I usually post here, so thank you so much again guys!! I was especially surprised since I went pretty off-model and highly stylized with him, and some people have expressed that they don't like how I stylized Noelle so I didn't expect the overwhelming positivity.

Speaking of which, while lots of people have expressed to me that they love the way I interpreted Noelle in 3D, she has also by far received the most negativity out of all of my DR models. Some people were taken aback by the long face I gave her and making fun of it, even though I personally feel like her canon sprite has a pretty long face, so that was a stylistic choice I wanted to emulate in my 3D translation of her. It wouldn't feel right for me to remove it as I actually really like this feature about her design, so I figured it might be something else that was off. A small handful of people actually gave me some useful critique, mainly involving the shape of the snout, so I went and worked on that and I feel like it really improved the model, which I am really grateful for!! While I kept the length of her face, I also changed the shape of the mouth, eyes and eyebrows ever so slightly to get even closer to the og sprite, and I think it feels a lot more like her now.

Anyways, rambling aside. Hope you guys enjoy this one, even though its a little shorter and less complete than the Spamton one! Oh, also: New animation coming up soon to celebrate a little something, will post a teaser soon (and funnily enough it will also feature this funky frosty reindeer). Stay tuned!
