After the SCC Spark in the Motor module 2010, I needed an explanation for concepts to show how osteopaths can claim to use 'fluid techniques' to diagnose and treat [usually by a compression of the 4th ventricle CV4]. I decided to look at the anatomical relationships of the reticular formation, the ventricles and spinal canal. I was interested in the theories of central and peripheral sensitisation, long term potentiation and down-regulation of intra-cortical inhibition and the summation of all their causal 'lesions' and how this might help patients find Health.
