Why I’m Breaking Up with Screens in 2026

2026 is nearly here, and I’m intentionally cutting way back on screen time in the new year. In this cozy, seasonal vlog, we bake classic Christmas sugar cookies while I share my plans for a more screen-free life. I talk openly about why I’m making this change (reducing eye strain), and how I plan to follow through by stepping away from the everything-digital world. We’ll chat about returning to more tangible systems for everyday life, like pen and paper planning, physical timers, and spending less time in front of the TV.

While the cookies bake, the conversation turns to my broader goals and plans for 2026. Reducing screen time is my biggest focus, but I’m also setting intentions to finally complete my basement library and fitness space, return to Peloton and my favorite yoga instructor, and create healthier habits around spending and saving. This video blends slow living, homemaking, and goal setting as I reflect on what I want the coming year to feel like.
