Flossmas Day 10 ~ A Stitcher’s 12 Days of Christmas

Welcome to my version of Flossmas! A Stitcher’s 12 Days of Christmas is a community offering free events for stitchers to participate in from the comfort of their home. At present, we have a virtual advent calendar for you starting December 01 and running until December 23rd. The purpose is to create connections and strengthen existing connections between stitchers in our community. This is inclusive for everyone so while it is chasing the “Christmas” spirit, the prompts and activities are centred around the feeling and spirit we are filled with this time of year regardless of ones religion.

There will be a video released every second day starting December 01st. This means there will be videos on Dec 01, 03, 05, 07, 09, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23rd.

Each video will start with an advent I open for you. This may be a gift or a prompt which will either be a festive task to get you into the holiday spirit or may be as simple as sharing a post on Instagram. If you are posting on IG make sure you use the hashtag #astitchers12daysofchristmas so other stitchers can view your posts.

Additionally I will share a commercial advent from Reflets de Soie and a custom curated advent by Fibers & Floss. I will share what projects I have been working on in the last 2 days and what my festive plans will be for the next 2 days.

Advent:
Prompt: Lets venture back outdoors. Grab a warm jacket, snips, bag and forage for greens and berries. Lets make a wreath to hang either in your home or out on the front door. You can embellish your wreath with berries, pinecones, dried oranges, ribbons or anything else you can find. Please post your wreath on Instagram and use the hashtag #astitchers12daysofchristmas so we can all see what you have made.
