Struggling with the ORIGINAL Mikuni carb on my Warrior, I have ordered my 3rd cheap carb (over about 6 years of fooling with these) to install. I am going to remove and completely disassemble the Mikuni, at my leisure now, and see if what I "think" may be wrong, is actually the problem. It cranks and runs great cold, runs like a scalded dog from half to full throttle. It is impossible to adjust it from idle to about 3/8 throttle. Acts like a vacuum leak that comes and goes. Sometimes it runs at high idle, sometimes it coughs and dies. I think it may be the cross ports in the emulsion tube are clogged. I have never removed it and cleaned them. I hope that's the problem, as I'd love nothing better than to get this original carb back on the Warrior, and have it operate dependably. Everybody poo poo's these cheap carbs, but I've had good luck with them, at least for a year or two. They're cheap enough to be disposable, so replacing one every couple years works for me, if I have to go that route.
