Join us for Week 2 of our small group series “Waiting for More”
Advent is a season of waiting, but not a passive waiting. It’s an active, hopeful, prayerful attitude of the heart. The Advent wreath, with its circle of evergreen and candle light, becomes a powerful symbol of what this season is all about: God’s eternal love, given ultimate expression in the coming of Christ, breaking into our darkness.
Each week of this beautiful season the light of the wreath grows, but it isn’t just decoration… it’s declaration. It declares that darkness doesn’t win — that hope, peace, joy, and love are not distant ideals, but living realities found in Christ. One by one the candles invite us to open our hearts wider, to see more clearly, and to prepare more deeply for the one who brings us more.
