Our own W2WCM Bill recently accompanied a small group of radio amateurs to conduct a DXpedition.

Many of you will remember Bill’s fascinating presentation last summer about his DXpedition to Cuba. Well, the Faroe Islands are in a slightly cooler climate than Cuba- the Faroes are located between Scotland and Iceland! Join us for a great tale of adventure in a land close to the Arctic Circle (well, closer than we are for sure!).
Bill will provide a description of their equipment, and conditions both weather wise and propagation wise during the event. He will tell us about the Faroe Islands, which are part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and the great people there who hosted the team for their radio event.

Vienna Wireless Society is one of the largest and most active Amateur Radio clubs in Northern Virginia.

Club meetings are conducted in hybrid mode, with remote attendees joining via Zoom, and are open for everybody, anywhere.
