Namibia Travel Guide 🇳🇦 - How to Visit Namibia + 10 Day Travel Itinerary

In this Namibia Travel Itinerary, I want to share all the pieces of information you will need to visit Namibia. I will explain the best way to reach Namibia, how to book your accommodations and car rentals and most importantly, lay out a 10-day travel itinerary with loads of tips and tricks to make your next trip the most memorable one yet!

My trip began in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia where spent a day getting to know the country, its culture and people. I picked up my car rental from Namibia2Go - incredible off road beast with all the tools I needed for my trip. You can book them here:

The following day I set out to explore one of the reasons why I came to Namibia - the Namib Desert. It is the oldest desert in the world, home to Deadvlei - a giant clay pan with dead trees surrounded by incredible orange sand dunes. I had spent two days here before continuing to the Western coast of Namibia towards the towns of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. Swakopmund is the country's second largest city with heavy german colonial influece. From here I took a tour to the famous sandwich harbour and booked my tour through Viator here:

After Swakopmund, I drove along Namibia coast via highway C34 and stopped at Cape Cross - the largest fur seal colony before traveling to one of the most INCREDIBLE places in the country - Spitzkoppe. This place feels like you are on a different planet with tall granite cliffs surrounding you and over 20 different, unique campsites to choose from. You can book them here:

The last few days, I had spent looking for the rarest animals in Etosha National Park. I opted to do a self drive safari but you can also book tours directly at the visitor center in Okakuejo or Halali camps. You can also book your accommodations if you decide to stay INSIDE of the park:

On the very last day of my trip, I decided to check out the largest privately owned game reserve on the African continent hoping to spot even more incredible animals. The advantage of staying in private reserves is that they are less crowded than national parks, the guides have a better idea where to find the animals and the stay was luxurious.
