Hello Everyone,
We are going to discuss about the word AS WELL AS.
As well as has two roles in the sentences (1) as a preposition (2) as conjunction.

AS WELL AS means:
—meaning: not only, but also, in addition to
—but it doesn’t mean and
— Sopheap, as well as Rotana, studies English very hard.
Meaning: Not only Rotana, but also Sopheap studies English very hard.

— Bopha is lazy as well as disorganized.
Meaning: Bopha is not only disorganized, but also lazy.

This shop sells newspapers as well as books.
Meaning: This shop sells not only books, but also newspapers.

Verbs after AS WELL AS come in –ING form
examples:
— Exercising is healthy, as well as making you feel good.
— He broke the window, as well as destroying the wall.
— I work part time, as well as studying at university.

Use AS WELL AS for comparison
AS WELL AS means equal well, equally correct.
examples:
— I played as well as Sopheap in the match.
— I pronounce English as well as American does.
— She speaks English as well as I speak Khmer.
