In this video I show you my kayak. It is a Lifetime Teton that I have modified with a pedal drive. I made the pedal drive with some spare bicycle parts and aluminum. I welded a frame and machined the parts needed to get it working. I find it's way easier to pedal it instead of paddling it. The Teton is not a fast kayak and has a lot of drag. It is a compromise for stability. I can get it going pretty quick, but it takes a lot of effort. The drag seems exponential and builds quickly as speed increases. It's good for slow to moderate speeds that I can maintain for a long time. This is a fun kayak and adding the pedal drive has made it even more fun!
