Wine Grapes 101: SANGIOVESE

Sangiovese is grown in almost every Italian winemaking region and is considered one of Italy's greatest red grape varieties. Many different wines can be made from Sangiovese - from easy drinking to age-worthy red wines and even rose and white wines. And we all have heard such legendary names as Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile de Montepulciano and of course Brunello di Montalcino. In this video I will discuss how Sangiovese tastes like, where it is produced, its different styles, recommended food pairings and notable producers.
