Can We Trust Awareness?

Is it safe to place our trust in God, or in awareness? How can we know that awareness is reliable and has our best interests at heart?

Rupert says: ‘You can find out from your own direct experience whether awareness is trustworthy: Just go to the experience of being aware and, as best you can, try to name its qualities. Do that on numerous occasions and in numerous circumstances, and see if you always get the same answer.

‘That’s the way to develop this deep trust in the reliability and steadiness of awareness. If you got a different answer every time you did that experiment, you’d know that awareness is not reliable.

‘And then you can make a subtle shift – from you being a person or mind that is investigating awareness, to establishing yourself AS awareness.’
