Today, we find ourselves in the quiet beauty of Långbro, where the landscape is caught in that soft, silver pause between autumn and winter. As we walk through the Swedish woods, the trees stand tall and bare against the sky, their branches stripped of leaves but full of character. There is no snow yet to blanket the ground, just the crisp, cool air and the crunch of the earth beneath our boots as we make our way toward the water to feed the ducks.
This isn’t just a leisurely stroll; it’s our rhythmic, 10-kilometer loop dedicated to the weekly grocery run. It takes us about an hour of steady walking to navigate the forest paths and suburban trails, turning a simple chore into a moment of connection with nature. Even without the winter white, the stillness of the woods offers a perfect reset before the new week begins. It’s a long trek with bags in hand, but there’s something deeply rewarding about earning our Sunday meal through the fresh air and the quiet scenery of Stockholm.
