Director Teja entered the film industry to make a living, starting as a light man in over 30-40 films. After gaining experience in Madras, he moved to Bombay, where he transitioned into cinematography, working on films like Raat and Mela. His directorial debut, Chitram, became a massive success, paving the way for him to produce more than half a dozen films.
