The History of Doctor Who Viewing Figures: Season 11 (1973/74)

We've reached the end of another here on the DOCTOR WHO RATINGS series, this time chronicling the fifth & final season of the Jon Pertwee's Third Doctor, from 1973 & 1974!

Season 11 represented the culmination of everything the show had achieved over the past few years, whilst also marking the end of the longest serving Doctor up until that point. The introduction of new monsters like the Sontarans, classic villains like the Daleks & the Ice Warriors, and the debut of the most recognisable companion, Sarah Jane Smith, meant that Season 11 had a lot going for it and a lot riding on it. But could it achieve the same success in the viewing figures department just as the show had been doing over the past few years? Join me to find out!
