What would you say if the Lord provided you an opportunity to make an album with your favorite musicians, singers and producer in a genre that was on the brink of becoming commercially viable? That's exactly what happened to John Sellers in 1984 when "Let Praise Arise" was released.
Originally released as one of the earliest "live" praise and worship albums of the early 80's, it found its second wind after being leased by the newly formed Integrity Music, becoming the second album in their Hosanna! Music series. John Sellers was one of the earliest songwriters who had a publishing deal with Integrity and a handful of his songs were signed with the label and still live on today including, "You Are Crowned With Many Crowns" and "Let God Arise".
In this fascinating interview, John shares how the Lord used him to craft an album that went on to become a bedrock of Integrity Music and an early prototype example of what future projects in the Hosanna! Music series would look and sound like.
