The Bon Secours Hospital Tralee is celebrating the global international nurses day held annually on the 12th of May led by the International Council of Nurses (ICN).
Siobhan Dowling, Director of Nursing in the BSHT says:
This day marks the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. The theme for 2023 is Our Nurses. Our Future. The ICN campaign will ‘shine
the light on nurses and on a brighter future, moving nurses from invisible to invaluable in the eyes of policy makers, the public, and all those who make decisions affecting the delivery and financing of health care’.
In Bon Secours Hospital Tralee we respect and value our nurses who provide safe, excellent, quality compassionate care to our patients and their families within our community. We continue to work closely with our colleagues in University Hospital Kerry and support with the transfer and continuity of patient care.
Well done and sincere thanks to all staff in our excellent caring team here in Bon Secours Hospital Tralee.
