Each year we survey our rivers to see how many Salmon and Trout fry have hatched that year. We use a technique called Electro Fishing where we pass a small current through the water which temporarily stuns the young fish for long enough for us to net them. We then measure each one, record our findings and release the fish, un harmed, back into the river.
2024 produced some very surprising results indeed.
