Jimmy is a 2009 Whitefield Academy graduate and a Major in the US Army. He lives in Dayton, Ohio with his wife and two young children where he is pursuing a Master of Data Science at the Air Force Institute of Technology.
How he learned about Amor Y Esperanza
While at Whitefield Academy, Jimmy had the opportunity to join the Ecuador Mission Trip from 2007-2009. Through that experience, Jimmy chose to sponsor a child whose journey he followed all the way through graduation from Amor Y Esperanza and even afterwards where the student got a job in the IT sector in Ecuador.
Why he chose to Take the Next Step
Jimmy cites two verses that have influenced him and his family's decision to support Amor Y Esperanza. First, Matthew 6:33- "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you" and second, the parable of the dishonest manager, which he leans on due to its message that we ought to give using our worldly wealth to support God's Kingdom.
