𝐁𝐢𝐨:
Up-and-coming NYC artist, DOPICO, released a debut album packed with her powerhouse vocals and captivating songwriting on May 1st, 2020. On top of building a music career, DOPICO is getting her Master's degree at Columbia University to become a mental health therapist. “Music can fuel us to take care of our minds and bodies when we’re emotionally drained,” she said. “When the pandemic hit, I knew I had to release this work.”

With a modern electro-pop/soul feel, DOPICO's self-titled album holds a duality of power and vulnerability. “The energy of the music really connects to our range of feelings right now,” she said. DOPICO’s work is complex, but catchy, carving a space for “thoughtful pop”. The passionate artist is outspoken about bringing authenticity back to mainstream music and vocal about female empowerment. In rebranding to just her last name and writing a verse for the first time in Spanish, DOPICO honors her Cuban heritage and proudly connects to the Latina side of her identity. DOPICO writes all her own music and is an aspiring producer. Her single "Nice Boy" (re-released on this album), was selected by Spotify for one of their most popular curated playlists, and she's been featured in a Google Pixel commercial. DOPICO has performed her music live at many iconic venues, including atop the World Trade Center. She is a lover of black coffee, daring ambition, and all things New York City.
