Fair Use: Historical Purposes and Education. Rare Bobbi Wyngant interviews of Roger Moore, Christopher Lee and Hervé Villechaize. Bobbi Wyngant brings up in this interview how it was impossible to meet and interview Sean Connery while they waited in the Bahamas during the Thunderball (1965) production. Bobbi Wyngant passed away this year, November 22, 1926 – February 18, 2024, and this is one of her few Bond related scoops. No copyright infringement intended.
TRIVIA: The Man with the Golden Gun was Roger Moore's 2nd Bond film during his tenure and his second film directed by Guy Hamilton. Famed reporter Bobbi Wyngart interviews him as well as the baddie cast of Christopher Lee and Hervé Villechaize. Roger defends Sean Connery's seemingly misanthropic behavior in 1965, which leads to a conversation about kindness and Roger's diet and exercise routine. Hervé Villechaize discusses the issues involving his height, which by extension grants Christopher Lee a talking point about his own height. They are speaking at Pinewood Studios' set of Hai Fat's electrical plant/solar energy station, designed by Peter Mullins (his only Bond film as production designer) honoring Ken Adam's styles with Peter's own sensibilities. Around the same time of this interview, a Ogilvy milk commercial was filmed on the set featuring Roger Moore and leading lady Britt Ekland. Bobbi and her interviewees are sitting next to the right side pathway and filming the right side wall (camera tended to film only 3 walls of this set, the camera side is the audience's point of view). The rightside path heading toward the right camera side corner leads back to Scaramanga's air lock that, in turn, led to his shooting range = Bond calls it Scaramanga's "fun palace" and the rest of his Phuket "Red China" home.
