Black Perigord truffles are more mysterious than we ever imagined and whether it’s the aroma, the texture the taste or the hunt, fossicking for truffles this season has been, like every other season, very much like hunting for buried gold.
As restaurants closed due to COVID restrictions the truffiere in Robertson diversified, appealing to their email listings to keep them afloat, and it worked.
Over winter, gourmet cooks popped up across the state, but what is a truffle and how do you find them?
