Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen of the 18th Dynasty (c. 1370 BC–c. 1331 BC), the principal wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten. Her name means "The Beautiful One Has Arrived," and she is famous for her bust, one of the most iconic works of art of ancient Egypt. Nefertiti played an important role during the reign of Akhenaten, who led a religious revolution centered on the god Aten. To create the music for this video, I took some of the surviving Egyptian poetry from the second millennium BC and, based on it, created similar poems as a tribute to Nefertiti. I used various AIs to translate ancient Egyptian poetry into its approximate pronunciation so I could sing it in something that could be similar to that now-extinct language. There's no linguistic rigor involved, just the desire to create music as a tribute to the great Queen Nefertiti. I've combined ancient instruments like the straight flute (Ney/Uffata), the double shawm (Zummarah), the harp, and others, fusing them with modern instruments like synthesizers. My goal isn't to achieve historical accuracy; it's simply to enjoy it.

Nefertiti fue una reina egipcia de la XVIII Dinastía (c. 1370 a. C.–c. 1331 a. C.), la esposa principal del faraón Akenatón. Su nombre significa "La Bella Ha Llegado" y es famosa por su busto, una de las obras de arte más emblemáticas del antiguo Egipto. Nefertiti desempeñó un papel importante durante el reinado de Akenatón, quien lideró una revolución religiosa centrada en el dios Atón. Para crear la música de este vídeo, tomé parte de la poesía egipcia que se conserva del segundo milenio a. C. y, basándome en ella, creé poemas similares en homenaje a Nefertiti. Utilicé varias IA para traducir la poesía del antiguo Egipto a su pronunciación aproximada y poder cantarla de forma similar a la de ese idioma, ahora extinto. No hay rigor lingüístico, solo el deseo de crear música como homenaje a la gran reina Nefertiti. He combinado instrumentos antiguos como la flauta travesera (Ney/Uffata), la chirimía doble (Zummarah), el arpa y otros, fusionándolos con instrumentos modernos como sintetizadores. Mi objetivo no es lograr precisión histórica; es simplemente disfrutarlo.
