Story Summary :-
OP (F27) is the middle child with an Elder sister Ellie (F29) and a younger brother Ethan (M25). Their parents are successful business owners with multiple grocery stores around the town. They always favour Ellie and treat her as the golden child, overlooking all her mistakes and catering to her needs, ignoring OP and never acknowledging her mistakes. The brother Ethan on the other hand is a manipulative liar who likes to pit both sisters against each other for his benefit. The incident happens on Christmas Eve when the parents gift Ellie a diamond necklace which is stolen by morning. When it is suggested to call the police, Ethan to save himself blames OP for stealing it and in return her parents without listening to her side of the story, criticize her and kick her out of the house. They also take away all her privileges including credit cards and car. Five years pass, Op struggles to get back to her feet and is now a successful graphic designer working for a multinational firm. She also suffers from psychological trauma and gets panic attacks.
Then one day she receives a text from her sister Ellie who apologizes for everything. OP finds out Karma has caught up to her family and they’ve lost everything they owned due to Ethan’s constant embezzlement in the company’s funds and Ellie’s wrong decisions. But the truth is her family isn’t actually remorseful but is trying to extort money from her. Op gets angry and decides to never forgive them. (The rest of the story continues in updates 1-5 where Ellie contacts OP’s boyfriend trying to get financial help and to sabotage her relationship. Op confronts Ellie and threatens to get an exclusion order against her. Op also gets a call from her father, trying to mend their relationship. She joins therapy and gives her family a second chance but it all goes down the drain once again.)
