🧇I made the CUTEST Waffle with my Squirtle waffle maker🧇

By popular demand, it’s a Squirtle Waffle! 🧇 This time, I experimented by adding fresh blueberries to the batter. What do you like adding to your waffles?

Also, I learned a new waffle trick that I want to share: If you are making a bunch of waffles and they are losing their crispiness, try warming your oven to 200°F and place the waffles directly on the rack to stay warm and crispy while you are finishing the others!

Here are some tips for making your own colorful waffles:

🧇I used squeeze bottles to fill in the face.
🧇When I piped the colored batter onto the face, the waffle iron was not hot or plugged in. I plugged it in right before I piped the black part of the eyes. Once it was plugged in, I waited a few seconds for it to start setting up and then piped the black parts of the eyes and rest of the waffle.
🧇When the green light came on, I checked to see if it was ready, and used my spatula to flip it so that the other side could continue browning.
🧇 I tried a few scratch recipes but I had the most luck using a waffle mix.
