A very large and busy level crossing located next to Chichester Railway station on the West Coastway Line in Chichester, West Sussex. This level crossing is one of a few to have three road lanes in total going across it, making it possibly the largest a level crossing could be without needing to be segregated by a traffic island. The LED wigwags date back to 2019/20, the alarms here are just too quiet for its environment (though there are four of them here), and the barriers from 2003 are in a poor state, as all strike the ground and as many as three rest on it when lowered. As you can see throughout, another level crossing is very close by, less than a minute's walk away via a direct alleyway, and both level crossings are just 90 yards (82 metres) apart. Both are lowered at the exact same time as they fall within the same signal section, and both must be lowered and proven clear before trains can proceed.

8 trains can be seen in these videos, including the fairly new Chichester to Brighton service departing its origin of the journey along the coastway. It was very drizzly, dull, and wet at the time of filming, so I apologise about the lens getting a bit moist during parts of this video, though you do get to hear a bit of wheel slip from a departing train! The slight banging sounds towards the start of the video came from train wheels striking a drinks can which had been left within the grooves the rails pass through. Being so busy, the crossing can be difficult to film at during times, and isn't particularly pleasant to film at overall in my experience, but I hope you enjoy these videos!
