This is Paukshte Fashion Workshop! I remind you that we post new videos every day.
Today I want to talk to you about a perfect fit.
I’m going to make a linen dress. A piece of linen fabric I’m going to make a dress of is just 1,2m long.
What I want to tell you is that even a small linen dress should fit you perfectly.
Have a look at the sketch.
The front neckline will be wide, but not deep.
There will be princess seams on the front, and the chest dart will start from them.
The most interesting and at the same time complicated details in this dress are the shoulders.
These are actually raglan sleeves. The sleeves will end with the dropped shoulders.
I know that the technique is pretty complicated, so I’m going to show you how to make such sleeves very thoroughly.
Today we’ll be working with a pattern for the dress itself.
I like to work with fabric without any problems, so I prefer to work with patterns very thoroughly.
I remind you that we don’t make armholes wider, just deeper.
First I need to cut the front and the back.
I want to make both the front and the back necklines 5cm wider.
I remind you that you can draw a princess seam wherever you want. I
I will have to make raglan sleeves of the left parts of the shoulders.
My dress will be about 103-105cm long. Do not forget about 4cm for an overcast. That means that I need to add 44cm.
I don’t want to make too long videos, so I’ll show you how to make sleeves next time.
My name is Paukshte Irina.
