FermiLab Archeology - Part 1 - Native American Sites of the Chicago Region

We continue our "Native American Sites of the Chicago Region" series, with this video exploring the archaeological sites of FermiLab National Accelerator Laboratory in DuPage and Kane Counties, Illinois. Across the ten square miles of the NAL facility, dozens of archeological sites have been identified by archeologists through the years. In Part 1, we explore the creation of the NAL in 1967 and the first formal archeological surveys and excavations conducted on NAL facility grounds in the early 1970s, led by anthropology graduate student, Ann M Early.
