Welcome to my playthrough of Donkey Kong Bananza. While I'm not particularly a DK fan, I really loved Super Mario Odessey, so I've been looking forward to this game. In episode 1, we go through the opening area where DK mines for gold and Golden Bananas. He eventually finds the monther load, only for a sudden storm to somehow take all the Bananas and force the mining colony deep underground. DK escapes the cave-in and finds the remnants of the mining colony in a huge cave, where lots of strange purple metal stuff seemed to be blocking the way. DK also managed to find Odd Rock, an oddly sapient rock that could speak and even sing. Odd Rock's singing seemed to have the power to melt the purple metal, and DK used that power to find his way to the top of the mining colony. There was a huge purple metal seal up there guarded by a golden skeleton sheathed in rock. DK made short work of it and then destroyed the seal it had been guarding, revealing a huge hole that went so deep down the bottom was not visible. DK and Odd Rock dove down and found themselves in a very beautiful lagoon region. We'll go explore the place in the next episode.
