In this video, I dive into the beautiful world of Bitmap Books and, um... snails. Because well... I actually do not know why snails are here, but look, they made it into the video so we just have to accept that now.
Bitmap Books make some of the finest retro gaming books ever printed and we as gaming enthusiasts are incredibly lucky to have their founder Sam Dyer and the team behind them. These books are perfect. The colours, the layouts, the artwork and the essays are all retro gaming perfection in print.
If you grew up in the eighties or nineties with arcades, consoles, game rentals, instruction booklets and gaming magazines, you need to head to their website and grab a book. Bitmap Books take that whole era and bind it into something stunning.
I flip through the pages, talk about what makes these books special and probably talk a bit too much about snails.
