DDoM's most-viewed videos of 2025

Well, 2025 has swiftly come to an end, and 2026 is upon us.

This video is a compilation of the top 6 most-viewed Daily Dose of Metal songs of 2025, based on total view count.


Why 6? Well, I thought of doing 5, but #6 is a tribute song, and shares subject matter with #4, so I figured I'd include it. I also didn't want to go too long, so I kept it at 6 to keep the video under 30 minutes. There were so many songs that turned out so great, and I really considered doing a top ten list, but ultimately cut it off at 6. There were so many songs that I published in 2025 that I feel were so replayable, so enjoyable, so emotionally impactful, so if you are in the mood for a listen (or a re-listen), please do so.

They are:

6 - The Flame and the Shadow. One of two songs that were created to pay tribute to J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings. As the name implies, it references Gandalf and his fight with the Balrog in the mines of Moria. Released on September 21st to commemorate the publishing of 'The Hobbit', which was first published September 21, 1937.

5 - Holy Fire, Sacred Steel. Tells the story of a blessed paladin is locked in mortal battle with a foul demon, bent on corrupting the world. The paladin is on a holy crusade to defeat the demon and banish him back to tarterus. The demon is massive and powerful, but the paladin has the benefit of holy fire, and the edge of his sacred steel sword in his hand. A great song to listen to while doing some dungeon diving, whether as a tabletop RPG, or a PC game. Inspired by many D&D sessions.

4 - The Wizard's Descent. The second of two songs that were created to pay tribute to J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings. As the name implies, it also references Gandalf and his fight with the Balrog, and his fall at the end of the fight. Also released on September 21st to commemorate the publishing of 'The Hobbit', which was first published September 21, 1937.

3 - Howl of the Condemned. Tells the story of a lone, centuries-old werewolf, stalking his human prey from the cold forests on the outskirts of Salem. At night, he enters the town and selects his targets, stalking them and moving in for the kill.

2 - The Silver Huntress. Tells the story of the Silver Huntress. Raised deep in the forest by master Elven archers and hunters, she has honed her senses, perfected her craft, and sharpened her mind from an early age. She is adept, lithe, subtle, crafty... deadly. Another great song to listen to while doing some dungeon diving, whether as a tabletop RPG, or a PC game. Inspired by many D&D sessions and other fantasy-themed games.

1 - The Silver Flame. Tells the story of the Midnight Queen, a warrior whose blade shines with a silver flame. Empowered by ancient magic, coming the rescue of a remote town held hostage by an evil witch and the everlasting winter she has brought down upon them. Once again, inspired by fantasy gaming, and heroic gaming sessions.
