Throwing a Double Wall Cup｜空心坯／雙層杯拉坯

用拉坯一體成型的雙層杯，杯底與杯壁成U形的空心狀態，讓杯子內外的溫度傳遞更慢。適合用於放冰塊的飲料，減緩冰塊融化速度；或是熱飲，增加恆溫效果。

空心坯／雙層杯 與一般拉坯的方向相反，是由杯口拉高至杯底。一塊土定完中心後，會推成兩圈的環狀，內層1/3的土拉高後封口為杯子的內側，外層2/3的土拉高後封口為杯子的外側。完成後放半乾，再修坯出杯緣的圓角。

The Double Wall Cup made by pottery in one piece has a hollow U-shaped space between the bottom and the wall, which slows down the temperature transfer between the inside and outside of the cup. It is suitable for drinks with ice cubes to slow down the melting speed, or for hot drinks to increase the constant temperature effect.

The Double Wall Cup is pulled in the opposite direction to that of the general pottery, from the mouth of the cup to the bottom. After centering the clay, it is pushed into a circular shape of two rounds. The inner 1/3 of the clay is pulled up and sealed as the inner layer of the cup, and the outer 2/3 of the clay is pulled up and sealed as the outer layer of the cup. After completion, it is partially dried, and then the rounded corners of the cup are trimmed.
