The PicoGUS just got an incredible new feature that completely changes what this card can do! In this video, I'll show you how to update your PicoGUS firmware to enable CD-ROM emulation and test it with some classic DOS games.
Key Features of PicoGUS CD-ROM Emulation:
✓ Emulates Panasonic/MKE interface and drive
✓ Supports ISO and BIN/CUE disc images on USB drive
✓ Full CD audio playback support
✓ Multi-disc game compatibility with on-the-fly disc swapping
✓ Works in both DOS and Windows 9x
✓ Approximately 2x speed in SB mode, 3x-4x speed in USB mode
Technical Requirements:
PicoGUS with firmware v3.0.1 or later
FAT32-formatted USB drive (root directory only)
DOS: CDMKE.SYS driver + MSCDEX
Windows 9x: Creative Labs MKE driver
Test Machine Specs:
486 DX2-66 with 8 megs of ram
