W202 Mercedes-Benz dash curved trim removal. C43 AMG, C280, C230, C220, C200

Quick video to show you a simple and effective method to remove the curved trim on the dash of a Mercedes-Benz W202. I couldn’t find a video of this being done, so I snapped this in a single take. Pardon my stumbling over words and descriptions I mostly do things like this for a small audience and don’t have public speaking or soft skills that optimize the information I’m sharing.

The screws I’ve described are studs with a nylon locking nut on the end. You can adjust the height of the nut on the studs if your trim is loose and rattling, this will adhere tighter to the dash pad if you tighten the nut them further down the studs. The opposite is true; if you cannot reinstall your curved trim easily, simply back them off. I hope you found this as useful as I did.

Note: I just tried this same method on the "Sport" carbon-fiber appearance plastic trim at the salvage yard and it snapped. its very brittle compared to the wood trims. Given age and heat cycles from the sun, I'd say its very likely yours will also crack/break but the wood trim seems to hold up a lot better.
