Nuestra impresora 3D, está sujeta a cambios continuamente, el más frecuente es el cambio de material del filamento, que nos obliga a recalibrar muchos de los parámetros del laminador, y a configurar perfiles personalizados de impresión, con flujo, temperaturas, retracción, velocidades … etc adecuadas al material, a la calidad de impresión o al tiempo en el que queremos que se impriman las piezas.

Pero también puede que compremos componentes nuevos de calidad; por ejemplo el barrel (heat brake) y queremos saber si la inversión ha merecido la pena (incluso si la podemos extender a otras impresoras que tengamos), o simplemente si, dicha pieza mejora la calidad sustancialmente respecto a la que hemos retirado.

Para establecer una buena comparación, hemos de conocer las bases de una comparación y a partir de este conocimiento profundizar el universo del benchmarking.
